Why Leslie Decided to Make the Move

For Leslie, the decision started with a simple question: “Nearing retirement, how can we make life easy?” Factors like future planning, ease of maintenance, and lifestyle all came into play. While their previous home was full of family memories and felt just like them, Leslie realized that moving to a single-level layout could bring greater comfort and peace of mind.

What Mattered Most in the Search

When it came to finding the right home, Leslie shares it’s about convenience, ease of maintenance and downsizing simply. They focused on single family living, but she shares if they were to move again, a condo could be considered.

Choosing the Right Location

Beyond the house itself, location was a key consideration. Proximity to medical, transportation, grocery and healthy living options were key.

The Transition from Selling to Buying

Leslie and Harold were lucky.  They did not need to sell before buying but didn’t want to hold 2 mortgages for long.  They made an offer and then worked with me to sell their house all in the span of a couple months. She is grateful she had that option and wouldn’t choose to do it any other way.

Life in a Single-Level Home Today

Since moving in, Leslie has found that the new home offers not just comfort but also a sense of ease. The layout has simplified day-to-day life, and the space feels both manageable and welcoming. She loves her yard, the neighbors.. It just works.

Advice for Others Considering the Move

Leslie’s final thoughts… She shares…You can live simply and be comfortable.  Keeping things and having too much can be overrated:)

Final Thoughts

A huge thank you to Leslie for sharing their story so openly. Moving to a single-level home isn’t just a real estate decision — it’s a lifestyle choice rooted in what matters most.
